- Designed for setting-up Accurately bored or reamed blanks and castings.
- Standard taper of .0005″ per 1”.
- .0005″ undersized on the smaller end.
- Made of hardened and ground tool steel.
- These mandrels are work holders that fit through a hole in the work to grasp it.
- Mandrels are forced into the work using an arbor press and are removed the same way.
- Two advantages to using mandrels is that they leave no grip marks on the work while maintaining concentricity and they provide tool access to the full length of the work.
